Hayling Island seafront

Hayling Island seafront is a popular area of Havant borough, enjoyed by visitors and residents alike.

The seafront includes more than three miles of beautiful beaches used for all kinds of activities – from kitesurfing and sailing to enjoying traditional fish and chips by the sea.

Things to do on Hayling Island.

In 2019, the beach was awarded the international Blue Flag for 29th consecutive year by the 'Keep Britain Tidy' campaign. The stretch of Hayling's beach which runs from the fun fair to the border of the golf club is recognised as a clean and safe stretch of coastline which offers excellent visitor facilities.

Getting to the seafront

From Havant, Hayling Island seafront is accessible by car via the A3023 (Havant Road) and by bike or foot via the Hayling Billy Coastal Path.

There are many car parks along the seafront. Parking charges apply to cars, vans and motorhomes every day from 8am to 6pm. There are no charges for blue badge holders or motorcycles. Parking is free overnight, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Visitors can also use the Hayling Ferry which runs between Hayling Island and Portsmouth. The ferry’s timetable is available online.
