Ukrainian family drop-in session

A family drop-in session for Ukrainian refugees and hosts living in the Borough of Havant will be taking place to offer support.

This local initiative will provide an opportunity for Ukrainian families who have recently arrived in the borough to meet one another in a casual setting. UK hosts are also very welcome to attend and to ask questions.

Havant Borough Council staff, together with local key Councillors will be on hand to assist with any queries, help and advice around public services.

There is no need to book, just turn up on the day to the free drop-in session at the Public Service Plaza on Tuesday 11 October between 11am and 1pm.  Food and refreshments will be on offer.

Councillor Gwen Robinson, Cabinet Lead for Affordable Housing, Communities and CIL, said: “I am delighted at the number of offers we have received from our resident to welcome and host Ukrainian refugees.

“We must support these families and I hope that this drop-in session will not only provide advice and support but also the opportunity to meet up with fellow countrymen and women to share their experiences.”
