Leader visits Waterlooville to discuss Council’s future plans with residents

The Leader of Havant Borough Council, Councillor Alex Rennie is inviting shoppers to stop and chat with him at ASDA in Waterlooville on Thursday 24 November.

Keen to hear the views of residents, partners, businesses, and community groups about Havant Borough Councils’ new Corporate Strategy, and what is important to them, he will be available between 10am and 1pm.

Havant Borough Council has created a new Corporate Strategy that defines the direction the council will take, and how all of its services will work towards agreed goals and aspirations. It helps the council work effectively and coherently, whilst allowing others to see the reasons behind the council’s work.

Providing an outline of all that the council wants to achieve, the Corporate Strategy offers three key aims; Wellbeing, Pride in place and Growth.

Councillor Alex Rennie said: "The Corporate Strategy is an important document laying out the council's agenda and we need your help to make sure we are heading in the right direction. I look forward to meeting our residents and listening to their thoughts.  It will be a great opportunity to share ideas and work together for the benefit of the borough's future.

“I’m looking forward to meeting people who live, work, and shop in the Waterlooville area to hear their views.  Recently I visited Havant Town Centre and Hayling Island and I feel it is extremely important that I come to Waterlooville too.”
