Cllr Patrick takes back the reins for second Mayoral term

Enthusiastic to serve the borough again, Councillor Diana Patrick, has been sworn in as Mayor of Havant for the second time.

Councillor Patrick served as Mayor for her first term in 2019-20, which took quite a different direction due to the global pandemic. This term, Councillor Patrick is looking forward to re-establishing her connections with residents and businesses.

The Mayor said: “Stepping back into the role of Mayor of Havant is a great honour and I am so pleased to have this opportunity.

“Our community is full of so many good people and projects that I look forward to learning more about. I am very much looking forward to getting started.”

Councillor Patrick will serve the borough as the 49th first citizen of the borough over the next 12 months with her Consort, Mr James Spencer.

The Mayor has chosen to support the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association – Forces Help (SSAFA) and Dementia Friendly Havant during her Mayoral year.

If anyone wishes to donate to the Mayor's charity, they can do so by sending their donation to the Mayor of Havant's Charity Appeal Fund.

The Deputy Mayor is Councillor Rosy Raines who will be supported by her husband Graham Raines.

Cadets representing the Airforce Training Cadet Force, Independent Cadet Force and St John Ambulance will support the Mayor on selected civic occasions.  They are:

  • Matthew Bennett, 2260 Waterlooville Squadron Air Training Cadet Force
  • Harry Villalon, 101 Independent Cadet Force
  • Libby Hardwick, St John Ambulance Cadet
  • Luke Stainsby, St John Ambulance Cadet
