New customers can now sign up to garden waste collection service

Green fingered residents across Havant Borough are now able to sign up for the council’s garden waste collection for 2023-24.

With spring in the air gardens are beginning to blossom and grow, so why not let Havant Borough Council help you.

Residents can now subscribe to the fortnightly garden waste collection service and all of their unwanted weeds, grass cuttings, leaves and prunings will be collected direct from their home, saving them a trip to the tip.

The collection service for new customers runs from June 2023 to the end of March 2024. You can subscribe at any time, but sign up by 30 April to guarantee your bin arrives on time. 

The special introductory rate from as low as £44 a year – less than £5 a month – the garden waste service, provided by Norse South East on behalf of Havant Borough Council, provides fortnightly collections from a wheeled bin that can easily manoeuvre around your garden.

More than ten thousand households in the borough have already taken advantage of this low-cost service.  

It’s easy to join, simply visit www.havant.gov.uk/garden-waste alternatively you can sign up over the telephone or in person, when visiting the Public Service Plaza in Havant or Beachland’s HQ, Hayling Island.

For those residents who have chosen not to renew their annual collection licence, it’s not too late to change your mind and re-join.
