Publication Building a Better Future Plan
The Building a Better Future Plan has been published for consultation and we are inviting representation forms on this version of the Plan.
This is the version of the Plan which the council considers to be ‘sound’ and is now subject to a final consultation before it is submitted for examination by an independent Inspector appointed by the Government.
The consultation is open from Monday, 20 July 2026 to 5.00pm on Wednesday, 9 September 2026. You can find the online representation form, together with a guidance note which will help you make your representation on the below page.

Emsworth and Hayling Island CGR Consultations
Both stages of consultation for the Emsworth and Hayling Island Community Governance Reviews (CGRs) have now closed - thank you to everyone who took part. The final decision on these reviews will be made by Full Council.
