Live projects

Building a Better Future Plan Consultation

The Building a Better Future Plan Consultation - otherwise known as the Local Plan - is now live.

This is your opportunity to shape and influence the vision for development in the Borough of Havant for the coming years. This consultation is live from 6 May to 1 July 2025.

Find out more information about the Building a Better Future Plan and respond to the consultation.

Waterlooville Town Centre SPD

The SPD (or Supplementary Planning Document) is the final phase of the work undertaken to put together the Waterlooville Town Centre Masterplan.

Over the past 18 months, extensive engagement has been conducted in Waterlooville to hear from residents, businesses, visitors and users on what they want to see in their local town centre. From this feedback, the Masterplan has been created to set out a vision for the future of Waterlooville. The next step is the formal adoption of the SPD, which will allow this Masterplan to meaningfully inform development and investment decisions going forward.

St. Faith's Conservation Area Review

Alongside the Building a Better Future Plan (or Local Plan) consultation, the council is also asking for feedback on the review of the St. Faith's Conservation Area.

This area covers the historic core of Havant Town Centre and designates this location as one with special architectural and historic character. The council is reviewing this designation as per legislation.

Play Area Refurbishments

Our latest round of engagement on proposed play area refurbishments is now live - over the coming weeks, you have a chance to shape your local play area by telling us what you'd like to see at each of the following locations:

  • Gauntlet Park, Privett Road, Purbrook, PO7 5JW (engagement live between 14 April and 12 May 2025)
  • Elizabeth Road, Stakes, PO7 5TZ (engagement live between 13 May and 10 June 2025)
  • Nutwick Road, Denvilles, PO9 2UQ (engagement live between 11 June and 9 July 2025)

Your views will be important to ensure that the play areas fit the needs of their community.

These sites are prioritised based on a number of factors, including the condition of the existing play equipment and anticipated life expectancy, the level of play value and enjoyment opportunity for children and the geographical spread and accessibility of existing high quality play provision.

Have your say on the latest round of play area engagement.
