Local Planning Authorities in England are required to maintain a register of previously developed sites which are capable of delivering housing-led development.

What is the Brownfield Land Register?

The Brownfield Land Register provides up-to-date, publicly available information on Brownfield (previously developed) land that is suitable for housing.

The council's Brownfield Land Register has been informed by sites included in the Strategic Housing Land and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA) to help identify all the brownfield sites in the borough.

Sites on the Brownfield Register can be viewed on the Council’s interactive map under the ‘Local Plan’ Map Category.
