Virtual Permits

Residents are now able to buy virtual permits by contacting the Parking Team or by using the online form below.

What's changed?

Paperless permits can be purchased with the following benefits:

  • you will be issued with a permit as soon as your application is approved.

These changes affect all types of parking permits in Havant Borough Council’s pay and display parking zones - except Beachlands, Hayling Island.

As soon as your permit is completed, its details will become available to our Civil Enforcement Officers. Our officers have hand-held computers that can scan the registration numbers of vehicles in parking permit areas. The computers will tell them whether a valid permit is associated with the vehicle.

Already have a parking permit?

If you already have a paper parking permit that is valid, you don't need to do anything. It will continue to be valid until its expiry date. 

Season tickets

Season tickets are available to purchase on a 3 month, 6 month or annual basis to enable you to park within your requested Havant Borough Council owned car park.  As permits are now virtual, only one vehicle can be registered.

Direct debits are available for 6 month permits (paid over 5 months) and 12 month permits (paid over 10 months). If the direct debit defaults, the permit will be cancelled and full payment will be due.

Resident permits

Residential permits are available for Bridge Road Car Park in Emsworth for residents who have no off-street parking and live adjacent to the car park. These permits are for 12 months and will be £240 and will be limited to 1 per household.
