A new, fun and exciting activity for residents aged 55 and above is coming to our shores.
Get up and Go’s coastal rowing sets sail this weekend with a FREE open day for residents to learn about the activity, see it in action and have a go themselves.
The event will run between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 27 April at Northney Marina, Hayling Island. With no need to book, residents can turn up at any time during the day and are encouraged to bring along their friends and family.
Throughout the day, instructors will be on hand to chat with residents and answer any questions they might have about coastal rowing. There will also be the opportunity to get on the water for anyone who wants to find out if rowing really floats their boat.
Following this event, coastal rowing courses begin on Wednesday 15 May. Suitable for all abilities, the weekly hour and a half sessions will take place in Chichester Harbour at 3pm and 6pm for six weeks. The first session is completely FREE and just £4 each week thereafter.
