Residents are invited to come along to fun circle dancing sessions at Leigh Park Community Centre (Dunsbury Way, Havant, PO9 5BG), every Thursday at 11am.
These sessions are open to everyone, from complete beginners to those with previous experience. Your first session is FREE, and then just £3 a week, or £10 for a block of six.
Delivered by Recapture Life CIC, circle dancing uses uplifting music and simple, gentle movements to help participants stay active, improve balance and coordination, and boost overall wellbeing. Movements can be carried out seated or standing, making the activity fully accessible to all.
This initiative has been funded by Sport England, and forms part of a programme of activity coordinated by the Havant Place Partnership, which is led by Havant Borough Council.
Councillor Antonia Harrison, Cabinet Lead for Communities, Active Wellbeing & Leisure, said: “Circle dancing offers a great opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy music, gentle movement, and social connection in a friendly, supportive environment.
“We’re proud to work with our partners to provide activities that help improve physical and mental wellbeing across our community.”
If you would like to attend, booking is encouraged - please contact Lesley Barton on 07832 946026 or lesley@recapturelife.co.uk or visit Get Up and Go's website.
