A new and improved play area is set to be installed at Elizabeth Road, Waterlooville, PO7 5TZ.
The play area has been re-designed to better suit the needs of the local community following a public consultation.
New play equipment will include swings, a wheelchair accessible roundabout and seesaw, a spinning bowl, a daisy springer, multiple sensory play panels, and a multi-user calisthenics unit. There will also be two picnic tables.
The refurbishment has been made possible thanks to £88,900 funding secured from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) fund.
Councillor Antonia Harrison, Cabinet Lead for Community Wellbeing, said: "We want to create play areas that bring together all ages and abilities, where people can stay active and enjoy the new, accessible equipment. I look forward to seeing the newly refurbished play area at Elizabeth Road."
Works will be undertaken by Kompan Ltd and are due to commence later this spring.
