The collection of general domestic waste has been prioritised over recycling services in the south of the borough and Havant Borough Council appreciates your patience and understanding during these exceptional circumstances.
Domestic waste collections will be taking place from Monday 15 June in the south of the borough on usual scheduled days.
This is following the suspension of recycling collections this week, residents in the Bedhampton, Broadmarsh, Brockhampton, Denvilles, Emsworth, Havant, Hayling Island, Langstone, Leigh Park, Warren Park, West Leigh and Warblington areas will see their recycling collection service resume on their usual collection days from Monday 22 June.
This measure has been necessary to allow collection crews to focus on catching up with missed domestic waste collections over recent weeks.
Residents are only advised to report a missed bin (rubbish, recycling, garden or food waste) if neighbouring properties have had their bin collected and yours has been missed.
You do not need to report a missed bin if your recycling collection was suspended this week. This disruption was planned, and therefore collections during this period were not missed.
The easiest and quickest way to check for all the latest updates relating to your household is via the online portal.
If your bin is not collected on your scheduled day, please continue to put it out as usual. Crews will return to collect it as soon as possible.
Please be a good neighbour – if you receive this and your neighbour doesn’t, please pass the information on.
