Havant Borough Council is proud to announce the next iteration of the six-month Havant Business Growth Programme to support businesses across the borough.

After the successful delivery of the previous programme, Aspire4Business will continue to deliver more growth outcomes through the establishment of a peer networking group.

Launching in September, the next iteration of the programme seeks to support local small businesses by equipping them with tools and knowledge to scale up and encourage networking and collaboration. The course will cover the following topics:

  • Strategy
  • Sales and marketing
  • Business structure
  • Financial planning
  • Social media
  • Business goals.

The curriculum will also cover essential matters such as personal development, sustainability, intellectual property, responding to tenders, and creating social value.

Beverley Poole, founder of Aspire4Business, said: "Following the success of Cohort 1, with businesses achieving exceptional progress in their strategic planning, operational efficiency and growth, Aspire4Business are delighted to deliver a Cohort 2 building on these successes.

"The programme aims to empower local enterprises with the business guidance, confidence and skills required for sustainable success and also developing a real prosperous peer group feel."

Councillor Gillian Harris, Cabinet Lead for Regeneration and Communities, said: “The previous Business Growth Programme was successful in providing valuable, tailored support for local businesses. It is great that we are able to offer the next iteration of the programme that will continue to have a positive impact across the borough.”

"Participants will be able to benefit from a combination of in-person workshops and one-to-one mentoring sessions, with the option to access digital resources and online training."
