
Havant Borough Council invites residents to attend its third annual Dementia Information Day event - helping those living with dementia and their carers, families, and friends seek support and advice from local charities and organisations.
This free drop-in event - organised by Havant Borough Council, Dementia Friendly Havant Borough CIO, and Dementia Friendly Hampshire - will take place on Friday 11 July from 10 am to 1 pm at the Public Service Plaza (Civic Centre Road, Havant PO9 2AX).
The event will consist of a marketplace of stalls and information stands, which will provide dementia-related support. Local organisations taking part in the event include: Dementia Friendly Hampshire, Age Concern, Connect to Support, Recapture Life, and others.
There will also be various talks, including:
- Wills and power of attorney Q&A
- Living with dementia talk
- Caring for someone with dementia talk
A range of craft and gardening taster sessions will be taking place, along with a functional fitness MOT session from Get Up and Go.
The event, sponsored by Right at Home and Home Instead, will also have live entertainment for all to enjoy, provided by Singing for the Mind Dementia Choir.
