Havant Borough Council proudly hosted the re-signing of the Armed Forces Covenant event on Thursday 28 November, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the Armed Forces community.
The event - held at the Public Service Plaza, Havant - highlighted the council's dedication to providing support for servicemen and women, veterans, and their families.
The Mayor of Havant, Councillor Peter Wade, said: “It was a privilege to re-sign the Armed Forces Covenant on behalf of the council. The Covenant reinforces our promise to ensure that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly and with respect in our community.
“Last year, the council achieved the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award in acknowledgment of its outstanding support towards the Armed Forces community.”
The event also featured a variety of community stalls, offering information, support, and advice to those in the Armed Forces community. Participating stalls included: Havant Veterans Support Hub, Community First, The Children's Society, and Forces Employment Charity.
