Emergency works have begun to repair coastal structures at South Hayling seafront that were damaged in the recent Storm Pierrick.

The works will include the replacement of timber planking on the groynes and the sloping revetments.

These timber coastal structures help reduce the risk of coastal flooding to the properties at Eastoke.

The project is due to take three to four weeks to complete.

The beach will remain open to the public for the duration of the works with appropriate health and safety measures in place.

More information about the works can be viewed here: South Hayling Timber Maintenance May 2024 — Coastal Partners
