Walking back to happiness – with Get up and Go

Why not ‘Get up and Go’ for a stroll around Staunton Lake, taking in the stunning views and vistas of the Parkland.

Short, guided walks take place at Staunton Country Park along an easy access path on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

The first Tuesday of the month you will have the opportunity to meander through the history and heritage of the stunning country park, whilst on the third Tuesday you will be able to wander through the Flora and Fauna.

Along the one-mile route you will take in the Regency landscape created by George Staunton and his successor William Stone and its range of follies, Grade II listed buildings, the ornamental lake, and the wildlife around.

There will always be something new to see, as walks will vary in content with different guides each time, and as the seasons change.

The free guided walks start from the Coach House Visitor Centre at 10.15am and usually take 75 minutes. So, why not get a breath of air whilst meandering and meeting new people, or just enjoy a saunter in silence.

Staunton Country Park is located on Petersfield Rd, Havant, PO9 5HD.

There is a bus stop at the entrance, on routes 20 and 21 for Stagecoach or 27 for First Bus, with a pay and display car park also available.
