Deadline for applications has been extended

The opportunity to tender for catering concession licences across the borough of Havant has been extended.

Licences to sell food, beverages, and ice creams at six remaining popular locations in the borough are available to apply for - and we have extended the deadline for new applications.

The car park licences allow for the sale of non-alcoholic beverages, hot and cold snacks, using the licensee’s own mobile vehicle with valid tax and MOT documentation.

Licensees will be authorised to trade from their permitted site, seven days a week, for six months - should they choose to.

The sites where concessions are available include:

Hayling Island Sites:

  • Langstone Bridge Car Park at Hayling Billy Line
  • The Gun Site Car Park at Sinah Common
  • The Nab Car Park

Recreation Ground Sites:

  • Jubilee Park at Waterlooville Recreation Ground, Milton Road, Cowplain
  • Purbrook Heath Recreation Ground Car Park Purbrook
  • Broadmarsh Coastal Park Car Park

Councillor Tim Pike, Cabinet Lead for Levelling-Up, said: "This is an ideal opportunity for any business, large or small to venture into."

“These popular sites across the borough have a high footfall, and by providing a range of catering opportunities it will enhance and improve the quality of facilities offered to our residents, visitors and tourists."

All applications must be received by 12 noon on Tuesday 11 April 2023, and further details can be found at www.havant.gov.uk/concessions.

Evidence of food hygiene levels, relevant insurances and adherence to council requirements will be requested and verified by Havant Borough Council in advance of any licence being issued.

The licences will commence on or before Monday 1 May 2023.
