The Christmas period will see some changes to bin collections.

We are continuing to collect rubbish and recycling over the Christmas period, but from the week commencing Monday 25 December collections will happen later than usual, please check here for the full breakdown.

There are important dates to remember in relation to other waste collection services too, including the garden waste service, bulky waste collections, and clinical waste collections.

  • There will be no collections on Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December) and New Year's Day (1 January)
  • Our crews will work on Saturdays during this period (30 December, 6 January and 13 January)
  • Garden waste and bulky waste collections will be suspended between Monday 25 December and Friday 12 January 2024
  • There will be no changes to clinical waste during the festive period.
  • Normal collections will resume from Monday 15 January.

Regardless of any changes, please continue to ensure your bin is out by 7am on your collection day.

Additional recycling is collected all year – not just at Christmas.  Please ensure you recycle the correct items. Recycling that does not fit into your wheelie bin should be placed in a clear sack or a cardboard box next to your bin. Please ensure excess recycling is clean and dry.

Havant Borough Council and Norse South East would like to thank our residents for their support throughout 2023. We wish you a safe festive period and a happy new year.
