What is Get up and Go?

Get up and Go offers new, sociable and fun experiences to residents aged 55 and over. All activities can be attended on your own, with friends or family and will be at a pace to suit you. 

The Get Up and Go project is split into three sections:

  • Get set

A chance to find out more and to talk about physical activity - this is your chance to ‘get set’ and think about having a go at something new, active and outdoors!

  • Get moving

Take your first steps into activity. This is your chance to ‘get moving’ and trying that new activity in a friendly and supportive environment.

  • Keep moving

Continue your active life - this is your chance to ‘keep moving’ and have a go at some more adventurous activities that you may not have tried before.

Activities range from guided walking, table tennis, pilates and coastal rowing!
