Havant Borough Council is proud to promote cycling in the borough

According to the 2011 Census, Havant ranks number 13 in England for the percentage of people regularly cycling (3 or more days per week).

However we have seen a small drop in people using their bike for commuting over the past decade, which is important since commuting accounts for about one fifth of all cycle journeys.

We are therefore investing in infrastructure which helps people to make the choice to travel on foot or by bike where appropriate.

Cycle network map

Nestled between the South Downs and the Solent, there is a wealth of great cycling routes throughout the borough which are highlighted in our cycle map.

Printed copies of the map are available at local outlets such as council offices, libraries, colleges, railway stations and cycle shops.

The map covers the Borough and the southern parishes of East Hampshire (Rowlands Castle, Horndean and Clanfield) and includes details of all cycle facilities at the time of publication in summer 2018.
