Play parks and open spaces
There are some fantastic play park facilities and open spaces within Havant Borough Council.
Our play parks are visited regularly by our operational services team, who carry out a litter pick and keep our facilities tidy and clean.
Play equipment is checked weekly by qualified inspectors, as well as a 3 monthly engineering inspection to check for any further damage to the play items, an annual independent inspection from an inspector on the register of play inspectors International.
If you feel that there is an issue that needs urgent attention, please email our Customer Services team on Customer.Services@havant.gov.uk
Havant Borough Council own and manage the play areas which are regularly inspected. To report any incidents or damage within the play areas please contact Havant Borough Council immediately on 023 9244 6019.
Sports pitches
The council has around 30 football pitches across 9 venues and 6 cricket pitches available across 5 venues for hire throughout the borough. Some of our venues have purpose built changing facilities that can be booked alongside your pitch booking.
If you are a new club or team, you can still hire sports sites from us. You will be required to complete an undertaking registration form where you will need to upload your current insurance policy. If your team works with children or vulnerable adults, you will also be required to have a designated safeguarding lead and a safeguarding policy in place prior to any match bookings. Please see below for more information.
If you are looking to book changing facilities that are not owned by the council, these must be booked directly with the building owners.
