The borough benefits from a comprehensive network of bus services linking to surrounding areas such as Portsmouth, Petersfield and Chichester.

These services are operated by Emsworth & District, First and Stagecoach.

Recent and upcoming changes to bus services

1 September 2019

Service 20: Route within QA Hospital will no longer serve bus stops on Southwick Hill Road and Nightingale Road. Buses will instead run via Southampton Rd, Sevenoaks Rd, Pasteur Road to serve the main entrance stop G, in both directions, before continuing via Southampton Road to either Havant or Portsmouth.

Service 21: The 07:30 from The Hard to HSDC South Down Campus will only operate as far as Farlington, Rectory Avenue.

Service 23: Monday to Friday timetable revised. New morning and evening journeys from Leigh Park towards Portsmouth & Southsea. On Saturdays a revised 12 minute frequency will be introduced to better meet passenger demand. New earlier journeys from Southsea and Leigh Park. On Sundays, a new daytime frequency of every 15 minutes with new earlier journeys from Southsea and Leigh Park.

Service 30/31: The morning journey to HSDC South Down Campus will now only run as far as Havant Bus Station.

Service D1: Hampshire County Council has requested for this service be reinstated to its route via Hambledon Road and NOT via Auger Row and Darnell Road. There will also be some slight amendments to the timetable.
