Over the Christmas and New Year period 2023-24, rubbish and recycling bin collections will change around the bank holidays.

Please remember to put your bins out by 7am on your scheduled collection day.
In the unlikely event our crews miss the collection of your bin (on your revised day) you will have until 4pm the next working day to report it. You can do this here, by calling 023 9244 6019 or emailing customerservices@havant.gov.uk
Additional recycling is collected all year – not just at Christmas. Please ensure you recycle the correct items. Recycling that does not fit into your wheelie bin should be placed in a clear sack or a cardboard box next to your bin. Please ensure excess recycling is clean and dry.
In the event of extreme weather conditions please place your bin out for collection and we will collect it as soon as possible.
Real Christmas trees can be placed into your brown-lidded garden waste bin if the tree is cut into pieces, no larger than 75mm in diameter.
If a glass bank is full due to seasonal demand, please do not leave glass by the bank. A list of alternative sites can be found here.
The bulky waste collection service will be suspended between Monday 25 December and Friday 12 January 2024.
These sites will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
