The RoleThe role of Technical Officer within the Planning Service offers a varied and interesting workload which combines administrative skill with technical understanding. We process planning applications and manage enquiries for the Planning Enforcement, Heritage and Tree teams; liaise with customers; and maintain records digitally. The successful candidate will be interested in the local built environment and may bring some previous experience in a planning-based role or be willing to learn the basic legislation, technical knowledge and plan reading skills required. Ideally you will be familiar with working in an office and be prepared to deliver a high level of customer service.
