The Havant Borough Community Lottery is celebrating yet again with its latest winner of £2000.
A local resident of the borough is the second winner in a matter of weeks to win the cash prize.
The Havant Borough Community Lottery was launched by Havant Borough Council in April 2018 to provide vital support to a wide range of local organisations and initiatives which benefit the local community.
Each player of the lottery can select their chosen fund to support when signing up, along with the chance to win the jackpot of £25,000
The most recent winner, Mrs G said: “I was surprised and delighted by my win and enjoy being able to support the community fund.”
Since its launch, the lottery has sold more than 79,000 tickets raising £47,912 for good causes in the borough – that’s a total of 60 per cent from every ticket going back to the community.
Councillor Tim Pike, Cabinet Lead for Planning, Regeneration and Communities, said: “The Havant Borough Community Lottery continues to benefit community groups and charities across the borough.
“The lottery not only makes it easy for residents to support their good causes, but gives them a chance to get rewarded for their generosity.”
