Table for two?

Tuesday, 18 June, 2019

Have a laugh with friends and try your hand at table tennis for free at Front Lawn Recreation Ground.

The facilities, served up by Havant Borough Council’s Get up and Go, are a great way to get moving this summer.

To play, all you need to do is collect bats and balls from the Front Lawn Community Hub. There’s no need to know your drop from your chop, just grab a friend and enjoy a game.

The table is available to use every day from 9am - 5pm. During weekdays, please go to the community hub reception, and on weekends, please go to the hub’s kitchen to sign in and collect equipment.

A small deposit - such as a driving licence, buss pass or car keys - is required to use the equipment which you’ll get back when you’re finished.

Councillor Tim Pike, Cabinet Lead for Planning, Regeneration and Communities, said: “Get up and Go offers the chance to try new activities so that residents can get active, have fun and stay healthy.

“There is a packed schedule of events during the summer months. To see all the activities, walks and talks on offer, residents should visit the Get up and Go website and find out more.”

Please take care when using the table and feel free to post photos to Facebook of you, your friends or family using the table – making sure to tag Get up and Go!
