Small Business Saturday is back – and better

Thursday, 21 September, 2017

Saturday 2 December is Small Business Saturday; a national campaign to encourage people to support their local small and independent businesses on what is traditionally the biggest shopping day of the year.

Havant Borough Council is proud to announce it will be celebrating the annual event throughout December by offering three hours free parking in any of the 20 town centre pay and display car parks.

This offer allows shoppers and motorists the chance to enjoy the wide range of independent stores, which boost our local economy and contribute to the uniqueness of our borough.

Councillor Michael Wilson, Havant Borough Council’s Cabinet Lead for Environment and Neighbourhood Services said "The borough’s small businesses are a vital part of our local economy providing local jobs and services which enrich our town centres. On the lead up to Christmas we will celebrate the fantastic work these businesses do and what they bring to the borough by offering the three hours free parking. It's the perfect opportunity to shop local in time for Christmas.”
