NHS move into the Plaza

Thursday, 21 November, 2019

Havant Borough Council has welcomed a new resident to its Public Service Plaza building.

The NHS Strategic Estates Team have secured new office space in the Plaza to join staff from Havant Borough Council, Hampshire County Council, Victim Support, the DVLA and the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership.

The team helps local health care partnerships deliver their best service possible by providing specialist estates support.

To achieve this, it works closely with partnership leaders on a range of areas including strategy, ICT and patient needs.

The team also offers advice and helps deliver local and national priorities - with the needs of the patient at the heart of all decisions.

Moving to the Plaza will help the team work more closely with its public-sector partners.

Simon Jenkins, Havant Borough Council's Director of Regeneration and Place said: “The Plaza was refurbished in 2011 to create a flagship modern office centre in Havant. Co-locating all public services to this well-located venue allows it to become a hub of collaboration and cross departmental working. We therefore welcome our new partners to the building.”

Rosie Harbridge from NHS added: “We offer solutions to deliver national and local priorities by working together to deliver savings, efficiencies, modern and fit for purpose assets, with the needs of the patient at the forefront of all decisions.

We were based in a small area within a clinical building and although this was helpful, it wasn’t the most appropriate environment for the work we do, therefore moving to the Plaza has been a very beneficial move for the team. It allows us to work more flexibly in a professional environment surrounded by other public sector bodies”.
