A sports conference for thinking and delivering coaching differently is coming to Havant.
Hosted by Havant Borough Council, the Hampshire Sports Conference is perfect for sports clubs, instructors and coaches who want to grow their audience or evolve the way they coach.
The event is being held on Wednesday 2 October from 5.30pm – 9pm at HBC’s Public Service Plaza, Havant, with tickets on sale now.
Attendees will be able to take part in specialist workshops, hear from guest speaker Olympic medallist Gail Emms MBE, and network with other industry professionals throughout the evening.
To introduce the event, Gail Emms MBE will share her knowledge and unique insight into the world of sport, as well as taking part in a question and answer session with attendees.
A choice of workshops on sports marketing, engagement and coaching - delivered by the University of Chichester and Energise Me - will also be available.
The sports marketing and engagement workshops are focussed on understanding and engaging with new audiences. Alternatively, the UK Coaching accredited workshop will teach participants how to keep their students at heart of everything they do.
Tickets are just £10 and available to anyone involved in sports, leisure or health such as club members, volunteers, coaches, instructors and sports professionals.
Councillor Tim Pike, Cabinet lead for Planning, Regeneration and Communities said “We are excited to be hosting this special event and look forward to welcoming people from across the county.
“The event is a great opportunity for anyone involved in sports, leisure or health to learn more about their audience and network with other people in the industry.”
