A job fair for residents looking to get back to work, progress their career or become self-employed is returning to Havant.
Your Pathway to Employment, organised by Radian, Havant Borough Council and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), is being held at the Public Service Plaza on Thursday 27 June from 10am – 1pm.
The event is completely free, open to all ages and residents are welcome to drop-in at any time. There will be lots of useful advice, training and opportunities available on the day, including:
- Free self-employment workshop (pre-booking recommended, details below)
- Apprenticeship opportunities
- Work experience placements
- Childcare advice
- Free health screening
With more than 15 companies attending and recruiting, job seekers should bring their CV to give to employers. If you don’t have a CV, don’t worry, Radian’s expert team will be on hand to help you create one.
If needed, free clothes will be available to candidates who are offered an interview so that they have the best chance of securing a job.
Councillor Tim Pike, Cabinet Lead for Planning, Regeneration and Communities, said: “Your Pathway to Employment is perfect for residents looking to get a head start in their career. I would like to thank our partners Radian and the DWP for helping to organise this event.”
Anyone planning to attend the workshop should pre-book here, otherwise no booking is needed for this event.
