Final chance to try coastal rowing this summer

Thursday, 15 August, 2019

Residents can get on the water and try something new at Get up and Go’s final coastal rowing open day of the summer.

Organised by Havant Borough Council, the free event is a chance to speak with instructors, learn the basics of coastal rowing and reward yourself with a hot chocolate once back on shore!

Taking place on Saturday 17 August, from 10am - 4pm at Northney Marina, Hayling Island, residents can drop in at any time during the day with no need to book.

After getting a taste of the activity, residents can then sign up to coastal rowing courses starting later this month.

Suitable for all abilities, the courses are aimed at residents aged 55 and above. Sessions begin on 28 August and take place at the marina each Wednesday from 3pm and 6pm for six weeks. The first session is completely free and just £4 each week thereafter.
