Earth moved, foundations laid and now the wall really begins to take shape.
The retaining wall in North Street, Emsworth, has now been completed ahead of schedule and the road will be reopened at 1pm today (Thursday 11 May).
This week the site contractor, Caroway, took delivery of 25 precast retaining wall units that will make-up the backbone of the wall on the site.
Andrew Biltcliffe, Head of Planning, said: “We are very pleased that this work has been completed so quickly and efficiently.
“Teams on site are working hard to ensure the smooth execution of the work which will result in the pavement alongside the wall being reopened.”
Works are due to be completed by Friday 16 June.
