Developer to share proposals for 90 new homes in Palk Road, Bedhampton

Officers, Councillors and community representatives are set to openly discuss proposals to redevelop a site in Palk Road, Bedhampton that could provide 90 new homes.

During a Development Consultation Forum (DCF) being held on Tuesday 23 August, in the Council Chamber at The Plaza, Civic Centre Road, Havant, developers Bellway will have the opportunity to present their proposals and hold a structured discussion about their plans.

The proposed housing will have access from West Street via Palk Road with areas of open space adjacent to Hermitage Stream.

Starting at 6pm, members of the public can attend and listen to the debate, with the option of completing feedback forms with their individual comments at the end of the meeting.

Councillor Clare Satchwell, Cabinet Lead for Planning, Hayling Seafront and Coastal Management (Coastal Partners), Havant Borough Council, said; “These forums are a good way for developers to recognise and address community concerns and expectations before submitting their formal planning application. No decisions about the proposals are made at this forum.

“I would encourage anyone with views on the proposal to contact their ward councillor or community representative, as these meetings are held in public but are not public meetings and therefore only invited speakers, councillors and officers can contribute.”

Details of the proposal are available to view on our Development Consultation Forum page.
