Commute around the borough on two wheels

Tuesday, 25 July, 2017

With the holidays around the corner, what better way to get out and about, than using the boroughs’ new cycle map and guide!

Published by Havant Borough Council, the 2017 edition covers off and on road cycling, throughout the borough including the adjacent areas of Clanfield, Horndean and Rowlands Castle.

The handy sized, full colour guide includes new links between Havant and Emsworth, on Hayling Island, and in Leigh Park and Waterlooville.

Councillor Tim Pike, Cabinet Lead for Strategic Innovation, Infrastructure and Projects said “This useful map forms a visible part of the council’s commitment to promote and develop sustainable transport across the borough.

Travelling by bike is one of the easiest ways to get around our area, with new on-road and off-road cycle paths and cycle tracks being built all the time to encourage people out of their cars and into a more active lifestyle.”

Copies of the map are available in local libraries, cycle shops and council offices. The map is also available to download here .
