From tomorrow, Tuesday 24th July, there will be a slight change in the time schedule for bins to be collected across the borough.
Norse South East, who collect rubbish and recycling on behalf of Havant Borough Council, will be starting collections from 6.30am while the hot weather continues.
Councillor Gary Hughes, Cabinet lead for Contracts and Commercial Services, said: “The recent long stretch of heat has challenged our refuse and recycling teams.
During these extremely hot days we aim to assist our staff as much as possible. We ask residents to support us by putting their bins out just half an hour earlier to ensure a timely and effective service can be provided.”
Collections will continue to start at 6.30am until the hot weather subsides.
