The ‘Get Up and Go’ programme has been postponed until further notice due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.
Following a successful summer of pilot activity, the Get Up and Go programme for 2019 is taking shape!
Sessions are being organised for anyone who lives in the borough and is aged 55+ who would like to try new, sociable and fun experiences.
All activities can be attended on your own, with friends or family and will be at a pace to suit you. Keep your eye on the Get Up and Go Havant website or follow us on Facebook for updates and information on latest activities.
The Get Up and Go project is split into three sections:
- Get set
A chance to find out more and to talk about physical activity - this is your chance to ‘get set’ and think about having a go at something new, active and outdoors!
- Get moving
Take your first steps into activity. This is your chance to ‘get moving’ and trying that new activity in a friendly and supportive environment.
- Keep moving
Continue your active life - this is your chance to ‘keep moving’ and have a go at some more adventurous activities that you may not have tried before.
Activities range from guided walking, table tennis, pilates and coastal rowing!
