Food banks

Food banks in the borough support many struggling residents, and during the coronavirus outbreak, more people are using them.

With more demand and less donations, stocks are running low.

Support a food bank

If you would like to support a local food bank, you will find donations points in many local supermarkets.

Alternatively, you can drop food off direct or make an online financial contribution to help food banks purchase essential supplies.

Items you should donate include:

  • long life milk
  • small bags of cereal
  • porridge oats
  • tea bags
  • hot chocolate
  • tinned meat
  • rice
  • pasta
  • small bags sugar
  • custard or rice puddings
  • toothbrushes
  • shampoo
