Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership

The Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership (ESCP) is the council’s coastal management team, consisting of specialist coastal officers and engineers who manage 162 km of coastline.

The partnership was formed in 2012 between Havant Borough Council, Fareham Borough Council, Gosport Borough Council and Portsmouth City Council.

The vision of the ESCP is to reduce the risk of coastal flooding and erosion by developing technically, environmentally and economically sustainable coastal defence and protection measures.

Hayling Island Beach Management Plan

The ESCP has a beach management plan in place for Hayling Island seafront. This involves both beach recycling and beach nourishment starting 24 February 2020.

Please visit the ESCP website for more information.
