Electric vehicles

Havant Borough Council has partnered with ChargePoint Services to provide three new electric vehicle charge points in the borough – enabling residents and visitors to charge quickly and efficiently on the go.

The 50Kw+ charge points, which are part of the GeniePoint Network, can be found in council-owned car parks on South Street, Emsworth, and Tidworth Road, Leigh Park. An additional charger in Wellington Way car park, Waterlooville, is set to be completed shortly.

Do I need to purchase a parking ticket to use a charge point bay?

Free parking applies while charging only.

Non-electric vehicles are not permitted to park within the bays at any time.

How long can I park in a charge point bay?

Once charged, your vehicle must be moved from the car park or re-parked within a marked parking bay and a valid pay and display ticket purchased, or a Penalty Charge Notice may be issued.

Electric vehicle drivers should take note of the charger tariff posted on each charge point.

Where can I find my nearest charge point?

The location of your nearest charge point can be found on Zap Map.

How much will it cost to charge my vehicle?

The cost of charging your electric vehicle varies. To estimate how much it will cost to fully or partially charge your vehicle, use the Zap Map public charging calculator.
