Young Voters

If you are aged 16 /17 years old, you may be eligible to register.  You will not be able to cast your vote until you are 18 years old though.

The Electoral Commission aim to support young people to get the knowledge they need to feel confident to cast their vote and to get involved in democracy.

You can find resources for young people on the Electoral Commissions website.

Educational Resources

We want to show young people that politics and democracy impacts everything around them. From how long they stay in education to the rules of renting, from 5G availability to how often bins are collected.

Discussing these topics and encouraging young people to think about how they can make their voices heard, can help them to become engaged voters and citizens for years to come.

We want to provide young people with the knowledge and understanding they need to create change in their communities. We want to give them confidence to vote, and to understand that their vote matters.
