The council's Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan includes measures, projects and work to begin the authority’s step towards decarbonisation and what this may look like. Havant Borough Council has set net zero targets for the authority by 2035 and for the borough by 2045 and included within the strategy are projects to help support the work towards this. One of the main goals within the strategy was to complete feasibility studies at certain assets of the council in order to gain a greater understanding and detail around what kind of low carbon technology could be considered onsite in the future. Havant Borough Council therefore commissioned consultants WSP to complete feasibility studies on five council-owned buildings to make a start on understanding this important project.
