We are very proud to announce that Havant Borough Council has been accredited as a silver carbon literate organisation (CLO) by the Carbon Literacy Project. A CLO is defined by the literacy project as an organisation which is ‘culturally carbon literate’ and acknowledges all of the work undertaken at Havant to integrate carbon literacy at the authority, not just through staff training but internal changes that have been implemented to consider our carbon output and where emissions can be reduced, creating a new low-carbon culture.

This is an important step in Havant’s carbon reduction plan and celebrates everyone who has been involved in carbon literacy- whether through attending a course, running a course, or completing and fulfilling your pledges on where changes can be made to ensure carbon reduction is achieved.

We are delighted the work being done at Havant has been recognised in this way and we look forward to the next steps to continue this great work.
