There are changes to some of our services and opening hours over the festive period.

The Public Service Plaza

For services delivered by Hampshire County Council and Havant Borough Council - the building will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Friday 2 January 2026, otherwise open as normal.

If you need to contact us for any service provided to you by Havant Borough Council outside of office hours and it cannot wait until the next working day, there is a limited emergency out-of-hours service. Please call our main switchboard on 023 9244 6019.

The Visitor Information Centre at Beachlands, Hayling Island 

The Visitor Information Centre is currently closed for the winter season. 

Rubbish and Recycling collections

There will be some changes to collections due to the Christmas and New Year bank holidays. Find out more information about your revised collection days.

Cemeteries 

Our cemeteries will be open as normal to the public (for people to visit to lay flowers etc). No burials will take place during the bank holidays.
