Business support and advice

The following agencies offer training, advice and funding opportunities for businesses. Some organisations provide advice for all businesses, others specialise in start-ups or another aspect of business.

Business Continuity

Natural or man-made events - flooding, storms, fire, theft, and terrorism – can stop a business from trading.

Statistics show that large proportion of businesses that stop trading either never re-open for business, or suffer such losses to competitors whilst they are unable to operate that they collapse within a short time after the event.

Business Continuity is all about making sure that you have suitable plans in place so that if the unthinkable happens you are able to respond in a planned way and minimise the damage - both financial and reputational - to your business, and get back on your feet as quickly as possible.

Havant Borough Council offers advice about Business Continuity. A member of our staff is available to offer help and guidance for you to draw up your plans (although we won't actually draw up the plans for you).
