There are a number of ways to pay your Council Tax.
Pay by direct debit
This is the easiest, most convenient and cheapest way of paying, for both the customer and the council. When the direct debit is set up your instalment payment will automatically be debited from your bank account.
If the amounts to be paid or payment dates change you will be notified at least 10 working days in advance. If you wish to set up a direct debit, please register for a portal account and complete the online direct debit form.
On your online account you can also opt to receive your Council Tax bills electronically.
You can pay your Council Tax online using our payments system which is available 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
We use the latest encryption technology to ensure users can make payments with confidence.
To use this service you will need to select the 'Council Tax' option from the list of payments available and have your debit or credit card to hand.
Pay over the internet using your own online or telephone banking service
You may pay any amount due to the council using your own bank's online or telephone banking service. You will need to quote the account reference as part of the transaction, otherwise your payment will not be registered correctly.
You will need our account details which are: Nat West Bank, account number 61767212, sort code 62-26-02, account name "Havant Borough Council".
Pay by debit/credit card
Payments by debit or credit card may be made at the Civic Offices in person or over the telephone.
