Mayor’s magical Christmas card competition gets underway!

Tuesday, 16 October, 2018

The Mayor of Havant, Councillor Peter Wade, is calling on school children in the borough to design his Christmas card.

The annual competition is open to pupils in years four, five and six (8-11 years old) from schools in the borough of Havant. Winners will be chosen by the Mayor and invited to visit the Mayor’s Parlour with friends and family to enjoy refreshments. In addition, first place will be presented with a £50 voucher for their school.

To enter the competition, all you need to do is get a template from your school, create your design and return it to them. The theme for this year’s competition is ‘The Magic of Christmas’ and the closing date for entries is Monday 19 November.

Last year, four wonderful designs were chosen as winners with first place going to Harriet Bird of Mengham Junior School.
