Saved Policies from the old Local Plan

The Havant Borough District-Wide Local Plan was adopted on the 30 September 2005 but as a result of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 it was only able to be used for three years after its adoption. As that three year period expired on the 30 September 2008, the Saved Policies from the Havant Borough District Wide Local Plan form part of the Havant Borough Local Development Framework (HBLDF). In time these policies will be superseded or replaced by Local Development Framework documents. Policies that have not been saved are in most cases covered by policies in the Adopted Core Strategy (March 2011) and national planning guidance. Therefore the fact a previous HBDWLP policy no longer applies should not be an indication that the issues are no longer relevant as they may be addressed by Core Strategy or national planning policies.

The saved policies will be added to the Proposals Map as soon as reasonably practicable.
