What is the Park Mark Award?

  • The Park Mark® Safer Parking Scheme is an initiative of the Associations of Chief Police Officers (ACPO/S) and is aimed at reducing both crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities. It is a nationwide government backed scheme to reduce crime and improve public services.
  • It means all the listed car parks have been assessed by the police to ensure that they are properly managed and maintained to create a safer environment for both you and your vehicle.
  • It demonstrates our commitment to creating a high quality parking facility that feels safe and has measures in place to reduce levels of crime.

Why should I use a Park Mark Car Park?

  • The car park has been assessed by the Police
  • It has the measures in place that deter criminal activity
  • We have created a safer environment for our customers and our customer vehicles
  • The facility is properly managed and maintained
  • The Car Park has appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage and cleanliness
  • The opportunity of crime is reduced

We have signage in the car parks with the award to indicate they have it and will be placing some information onto the parking pages on the website including a link to the dedicated Park Mark website that allows you to find a safe car park in any location across the country.
