“Have Your Say” Events 2008

The annual “Have Your Say” Events are open to the public and are your chance to hear how the council sets its budget; its vision for the future; and to meet Havant Borough Council’s Executive Members to ask questions about how they run the borough.   The council’s newly published Corporate Strategy for 2008-2011 provides you with more details about the vision and priorities for the borough and could provide further information when considering your questions. Please follow this link to read the document.

The next event is being held in Hayling Island on the 8th December at Hayling Island Community Centre, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Please follow this link for a map to the location  (PDF format) >>

Questions to the Executive Councillors need to be submitted in advance using this link and also indicating which event you will be attending. Submitting the questions in advance will allow us to cover more topics by avoiding duplicate questions and you will need to be present to actually ask your question. Please note that questions on individual planning applications cannot be dealt with at these events and should be directed through our Development Control Team.

Previous events have been well attended, with Executive Councillors answering questions ranging from arts and culture to queries on the council’s forward planning and long term development of the borough. Even if you do not wish to ask a question yourself, you may like to come along and hear what others have to say, and understand more about how the council works. If so please indicate which event you will be attending.

If time permits there may also be an opportunity to ask subsequent questions at the end of the sessions.

We hope you are able to join us and look forward to seeing you at one of these events.

Yours sincerely

Tony Briggs                  Sandy Hopkins
